Montreal for Spring Break!
Want to come to Montreal in a couple weeks???

I'm going there March 23 - 29 (or thereabouts), loosely in conjunction with three different pairs of MIT friends. You should come with me!

I'm not looking for a big group, but depending on who's interested and in what, I can make any arrangements. I'm most interested in just bouncing around the city, playing by ear: some sightseeing, some nightlife, eating good food, wearing funny hats, trying to speak French, maybe some couchsurfing.

According to wikitravel, Montreal "has an inordinate number of attractive, fashionably dressed people." And if you're worried about the cold, we can spend time exploring their 18 miles of tunnels. So get in touch with me already, if you're interested. Or if you have recommendations!

I've heard rumblings of a Rocky trip, but I forget who rumbled or if it'd already happened. Anyone know those plans?

I was debating on getting a trip together for Patriot's Day (4/19-4/21) weekend.

It's all very up in the air. We might just go to a B&B in Maine.
I have a feeling that weekend is going to be planned less than 2 weeks before it happens.

Interesting. I think I want to stick to my plan of going now, buuut I could probably get away for that weekend pretty easily (whereas I don't want to miss any weekends this month).

Lol, Tom (Orlando) kept wanting to get a group together to go to Canada. I still haven't been, either, and will have to miss this trip, too. :[

You know you're only about 4 hours from there? If you're coming back to Boston (woo-hoo!), you should at least go as a day trip before you do. You might even decide to stay.

Haha, Brian can't transfer to Canada, otherwise I would be considering Toronto. I need a passport now, yes? I keep meaning to get one, but, well...

I had been rumbling about a Rocky trip, for a long time, but it just hasn't come together yet.

Well, do you want this to be that trip? Unfortunately, I don't want to skip a Saturday this month (and definitely not March 29). But how about marketing a trip Wednesday night through Saturday (27 - 29)? Ironically, it'd probably be pretty easy for me to get away for a weekend if it's in April, a la truered's plan.

I'm taking two days off work to go to Michigan this month, and hoping to take time off to go to Nevada and/or New York in April and San Francisco in May. (Whew!) So I can't really afford anything other than weekend trips for a while :/

Weekend of May 17th I will be up there because of two things:

My Birthday.

I posted about wanting company for that weekend, however, my intentions weren't necessarily a cast weekend up there.

Did I mention that I would be there on the 22nd and 23rd? Dude.

I'm not sure how much time I can spend there, though. I need to divide my time between Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto on 3/22 through 3/25.

Maybe I could stretch Montreal and squeeze the other two.... Let's talk.
